Introducing My Style

Hi and welcome to another post. MY FIRST EVER FASHION POST!!!

I thought I’d just sit and have a ramble with you guys about fashion (and I’m actually quite excited at the thought). Since I can remember, I’ve always loved fashion and the endless possibilities that can be created if you have a look or an idea in mind.

I toyed with the idea of starting a fashion brand once. Something I could call my own and share with others. So; for now, I’ve decided to add a fashion section to my blog in the hope that it will become a major topic that I cover. Since deciding a few weeks ago to make this a lifestyle blog rather than a health and fitness one, I’ve had so many ideas for fashion and style posts to share. So please bare with me as I embark on something new and exciting that I’m really looking forward to.

Disclaimer Alert: Now I’m no fashion guru but like everything on this site, these are my views, opinions, likes and dislikes.

What is My Personal Style?

I guess this is a good place to start.

I’d say I’m more of a street wear kind of guy with a minimalist edge…or is that the other way around! I love shoes and have an endless list of trainers/sneakers, casual and formal shoes to add to my collection (which by the way is very basic right now). You could say I’m a bit of an undercover sneaker head! I’m also not afraid to wear bright colours but love to keep it simple with a black on black number with a stylish boot. Grooming is also a huge thing for me too.

Now where does my inspiration come from?

I have no idea. I’ve pulled inspiration from so many places, celebs, adverts and bloggers and I’ve tried to make what I’ve seen my own. But being confident in what I’ve chosen has only come recently.

I like to think I have a good concept of style and can dress for any occasion if needed. I worked in Next Retail for years, moving around departments taking inspiration from both women’s and menswear. As it was formal uniform, I would push the boundaries by playing with colour palettes. Brown shades with pink and bright blues, a navy pant and waistcoat with yellows and greens. Like I said, I wasn’t afraid of colour at all! My mantra back then was:

'If I could get away with it, I would definitely try it!'

I’m constantly people watching! I love it! Constantly looking at the different styles of individuals and thinking, why do they style themselves that way? What was their inspiration?  How could I recreate that look? What would I do differently?

Don’t they say that something new is created out of many different things mixed together?!

Wow… definitely a ramble, but hey, these things happen!!

Hope you enjoyed this insight into my style. I look forward to sharing my thoughts, feeling, and ideas and soon images of my looks. Just everything Fashion and Lifestyle!

Until next time.

Ash
