5 Tips: Getting back on track
At a time of year when holidays play host to periods of over indulgence, the thing we find hardest to do is get back on track.
Here are 5 steps to help you get back on track and feeling better after an epic break full of fun and games.
Step 1: Accept & Refocus
Accepting and refocusing is key to succeeding in this process. We all love to over indulge from time to time; so don't beat yourself up over it. Do something to help you refocus, whether it’s a walk, some yoga or meditation, talking to someone, watching your favourite fitness YouTuber or someone that motivates you. Do anything to get your mind in the right place and head in the right direction. The more pressure we put on ourselves in a negative mindset, the less likely we are to sustain our desired path.
Step 2: Rehydrate
It is so important to rehydrate! Over indulging on our favourite foods, normally leads to dehydration and excess sodium and sugar intake. This can lead to us feeling lethargic and overall…just bad! Start your days off with a large glass of water to give your body the good stuff it needs to function properly. Now this doesn't mean a large cup of coffee, as this can the reverse effect and leave you feeling more dehydrated. Good old h2o first, coffee later. Help yourself get the right amount in with having a large glass of water before every meal.

Step 3: Sweat!
Now you've taken in all that water...go sweat it out! Trying doing your favourite cardio workouts. Whether it is a run, cardio machine in the gym, resistance circuits, and organised sports, anything that gets your heart going and blood pumping. Sweating can help get rid of toxins and other chemical build-ups in the body. But don't just do one day. Try and do a few days in a row to really make your feel better.
Step 4: Micronutrients
Focus on getting in your vitamins and minerals found in your favourite fruit and dark green and colourful vegetables, as well as a high profile of electrolytes from your favourite flavour Coco Pro. The coconut water in Coco Pro is rich in Potassium, Sodium, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Calcium. All these electrolytes help your body to reset; function efficiently and maintain proper fluid levels.
Step 5: Don't stop!
Stay focused and keep going. Now that you've kick started the process with the right mindset, hydration, your workouts and getting your micronutrients in, keep it up! Use it as a step closer to an overall healthier lifestyle. You got this!
Until next time.
