So to top off my London Fashion Week adventure, I was fortunate enough to attend London Fashion Weekend on the Friday at Chelsea’s Saatchi Gallery, another opportunity for me to get my teeth stuck into another fashion event. Described as Fashions biggest pop-up, it was a chance for people to purchase some of their favourite designer wear and accessories, attend catwalk shows and talks from leaders in the industry.
Mainly aimed at women, there wasn’t a lot for me to think about purchasing. But it was still fun to take a look at some designers' work and take in the atmosphere. I decided to treat myself and go for the gold package which included a tote bag - designed by 2016 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund Winner Sophia Webster - two catwalk shows; a trend show and a show from Canadian born, Central St Martins grad, Edeline Lee. I also purchased tickets to a talk with Patrick Grant, a British fashion designer and the creative director of bespoke Savile Row tailor, Norton & Sons.
Another great experience and one that further solidifies that this is a world that I can definitely get used too.
Until next time, Ash
