Part 4 - Challenge Yourself
Happy Blogmas day 3 people! Today I’m posting the final instalment of the ‘Living the Fitness Lifestyle’ series. Lets get this one going…
‘Something that needs great mental or physical effort in order to be done successfully and therefore tests a person’s ability’.
In order to continually live the fitness lifestyle, you must learn to challenge yourself. Most of us will see a challenge as an event. This could be a marathon, obstacle race or even a 30-day Squat challenge. And these are all amazing challenges that take huge amounts of mental and physical toughness to achieve. The ability to push your body safely and test yourself is an achievement in itself. You can also have a life goal as a challenge, a hobby or something else that means something to you. The closer it is to you, the more of an achievement it will be when you complete it.
You can also challenge yourself by trying new things. Try not to stick to your favourite classes, exercises or ways of doing things. Our bodies are smart and can easily walk through things that we do on a regular basis. By doing things differently our bodies change, adapt and improve.
Challenge yourself to become a better version of you. This can sometimes be 100% mental. By challenging yourself mentally, you further prove to yourself that you can achieve anything. Whether it’s learning and new life skill, a sport or attending a class that you know nothing about. Beware; it will take time and effort to get there. But you may discover something else about yourself and your ability along the way.
